About Boolosh
Douglas Lamont Jones was born in the beautiful city of Boynton Beach, Florida. His parents are the late Douglas McArthur Jones and Betty Jones. His siblings include 1 sister and 3 brothers. Lamont as he likes to be called attended Lake Worth High School for 11 and a half years. At a young age he accepted Christ and was baptized into the Daughter of Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Lamont was raised in a Christian home and always taught the importance of morals and principles however, he was subsequently expelled during his last year of high school. Lamont was involved in sports during high school as it was always his desire to be a professional athlete playing football or basketball. Lamont ultimately ended up in the street life as he began a life of drug dealing. During his time in the street, Lamont decided to work on his body as he became a Body Builder where he won many awards while maintaining a healthy body as he mastered the art of eating the appropriate foods and exercise. One of Lamont’s greatest accomplishments was win he won the award of Mr 1990 Sports Fest.
Sadly during Lamont’s middle school year his parents divorced as Lamont’s mother, a praying and hardworking woman was left to raise him and his siblings. It was during high school hanging out with peers that he was introduced to the selling of drugs. Although he sold drugs on an upscale level, he was fortunate to never indulge or utilized alcohol.
After many years of dealing drugs and running from God, Lamont was eventually arrested along with many of his associates and subsequently sentenced to 50 years in Federal Prison. While sitting in the county jail, Lamont called home often. One call Lamont particularly remembered was a conversation with his mother whereas she stated (Son, looks like you are in a world of trouble, only thing I can tell you is to trust God). Lamont began to sit and think about his Life and what landed him there. It was in Prison where Lamont began to pray and reseek God. Lamont had a strong desire to serve Jesus again as he began to attend all the Church services, sometimes 3 per day. That was where Lamont received his strength as he realized his only hope was in serving his Lord and Savior.
